Travel Information

Oakland is served by the Oakland International Airport (about 15 minutes from the Marriott hotel), the San Francisco International Airport (45 minutes away) and from the San Jose Airport (60 minutes away). Several low-cost airlines fly into Oakland while all of the major airlines serve SFO.

You can travel from either Oakland International Airport or SFO directly to the hotel via taxi, pre-arranged shuttle bus, or the BART subway system. Taxi's are available 24 hours per day. The door to door shuttle vans (such as Bayporter or Super Shuttle) are perhaps the best combination of economy and convenience but the shuttle companies prefer that you make an advance reservation. The subway connection from Oakland International requires that you use the AirBart Bus to connect to the system while the connection to BART at SFO is inside the International Terminal at the airport.
